As Australian First Nations designers are leading a movement away from collaborative or consultative models to First Nations-led design, this survey exhibition showcases contemporary Indigenous design projects from across Australia.

Featuring fashion, interiors, and product design to landscape, architecture and town planning, the exhibited projects interrogate how First Nations design is defined, received and made visible in Australia’s contemporary design landscape, asking the question; what is meaningful Indigenous design, and why does it matter?

Featuring: Arkie Barton, Lyn-Al Young, TJ Cowlishaw (Aarli), Balarinji, Galimbaa, Marcus Lee Design, Grace Lillian Lee, Kristy Dickinson (Haus of Dizzy), Maree Clarke, Anindilyakwa Arts, Babbarra Women’s Centre, Injalak Arts, Merrepen Arts, MiArt Designs, Paul Herzich, Nicole Monks, Francoise Lane, Carroll Go-Sam, Dillon Kombumerri, and Jefa Greenaway.
